309S is a variety of 309 stainless steel with low carbon content, used for occasions where welding is required. The lower carbon content minimizes the precipitation of carbides in the heat affected zone near the weld, while the precipitation of the carbides may lead to intergranular corrosion in stainless steels in certain environments.
310 stainless steel austenitic chromium nickel stainless steel has good oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, because the higher percentage of chromium and nickel, 310 has much better creep strength, can continuously work under high temperature, good heat resistance.
The only differences for 310 310S stainless steel is the 310 stainless steel does not contain sulfur elements.What’s more,the carbon content of 310S is much lower than 310.
